She holds a B.A. in English from the University of Utah and an M.A. in Creative Writing from University College Cork. With a passion for poetry, fiction, and fantasy, Kannapel crafts stories and poems that blend concision, emotional depth, and vivid imagery. Her work has been featured in physical and online publications — plus, she has a self-published novel buried deep in its grave. During her undergrad years, she wrote for her college paper, The Daily Utah Chronicle. In 2019, her poem, “On the Edge” was a finalist for the Dan Veach Prize for Younger Poets. She lives in Utah with her husband.
